A magnifient book from a talented writer.
The setting was interesting and the story line was very depressing.
Such a great idea for a book.
It was fresh and it felt genuine.
Perhaps that would be the case in 40 years time, who knows?
This book had that effect on me.

Each idea was expressed amazingly well and everything was beutifully written.
The choices of words and sentences were exceptionally accurate.
I never had any problem imagining the setting and I understood everything the writter tried to deliver.
I got sucked in each time I started reading.
It was not boring at all.
Kudos to the writter!

The characters were so real.
And Rhine, the main character was such a strong heroin.
She was my age and I couldn't imagine what she was going through.
And I'm in love with her courage and abilities.

And the ending?
It was heartbreaking however expected.
Tears started rolling down my cheeks.
So, this book managed to not only sucked me physically but emotionally as well.

The story doesn't end in this book.
The sequel, Fever is something worth looking forward to next year.
And if you haven't read this book, I strongly reccomend it.

Endlessly (Expected publication: 24th of July 2012)

This is the cover to last sequel of the Paranormalcy series, Endlessly.
Still, they kept the font, the theme and the style of the cover the same.
Flowers below, wind in the hair and the dress of the models and the matching coloured sky.

However, it is not as neat as the first two.
Maybe it's because the sky is too bright.
I love Paranormalcy's cover the best.

Fever (Expected publication: 21st of February 2012)

Just like Endlessly, they kept the font, the theme and the style of the cover.
However, this book cover is gorgeous.
That is the exact word for it, gorgeous

But if you compare it to Wither, the first book,

Fever is not as attractive.
Wither looks soft and exclusive and Fever looks vibrant.
But I like it :)

Kind of disappointing.
Maybe it is because it's not as good as the first one.
But the story line is just plain.
It started off with instant action when a sylph kidnapped Evie, the main character.
However, it didn't manage to make me continue flipping the pages like any other fast-paced book usually do.

However, Evie is still Evie.
Her thoughts and speeches are still hilarious.
So, it is funny.
It managed to make me giggle.

I also managed to figure out the ending right away.
So, it is not that surprising or unexpected.
Nothing to look forward too.
That was why it took me 3 days to pick up the book to finish the last 15 pages because I procrastinated.

Well, I hope it's sequel, Endlessly would improve.
Nevertheless, I still am looking forward to it.

I wonder if the cover really has a little shade of blue.

The synopsis:

Okay, maybe that was a bit melodramatic, but I’m sorry, I’m feeling a bit melodramatic at the moment.
Here’s the deal. My name is Brooklyn Pierce, I’m fifteen years old, and I am decisionally challenged. Seriously, I can’t remember the last good decision I made. I can remember plenty of crappy ones though. Including that party I threw when my parents were out of town that accidentally burned down a model home. Yeah, not my finest moment, for sure.
But see, that’s why I started a blog. To enlist readers to make my decisions for me. That’s right. I gave up. Threw in the towel. I let someone else be the one to decide which book I read for English. Or whether or not I accepted an invitation to join the debate team from that cute-in-a-dorky-sort-of-way guy who gave me the Heimlich Maneuver in the cafeteria. (Note to self: Chew the melon before swallowing it.) I even let them decide who I dated!
Well, it turns out there are some things in life you simply can’t choose or have chosen for you—like who you fall in love with. And now everything’s more screwed up than ever.
But don’t take my word for it, read the book and decide for yourself. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream in frustration. Or maybe that’s just me. After all, it’s my life.

My opinion:
After reading the Karma Club, I'm intrigued to read this.
And after watching the trailer, I want it even more!
With the easy access of technology that we have now, we tend to take the easiest way out.
Giving up is easier right?
But of course, life is not that easy, isn't it?

So, I'm willing to learn another value of life.
Which I'm sure that I can get from My Life Undecided.
And I have high expectations for this book since The Karma Club was AWESOME and the reviews on goodreads are convincing.
I really can't wait to see it on the shelf of the local bookstore here :)

The Last Echo

And is expected to be published on the 17th of April 2012.

We've been blown away of the smart cover of the other two books.

However, not so by this one.
It's purple this time.
That is certainly a good colour.

However, the font is not as cool as the other two and the flower..
I don't know, I just don't like it.
Hope it is not the final cover and will be improved.

The Savage Grace

I hope this cover is not final too cause it is certainly not as pretty as the others.

And yes, the font has something to do with it.
The legs are not as white too.
Seriously, I wouldn't know it is a Dark Divine Novel at my first glance.
The Savage Grace is expected to be released on 13th of March 2012.

The Karma Club is a novel about feeling like the world is being unfair.
And what we would do to make it fair to us instead.
But are the choices we make to achieve this goal is the right one?

I've been waiting for the moment I can read this book.
That's because of the book trailer I saw in February last year.

And the wait was worth it!

A simple yet great idea for a teen lit.
Sure, the social setting is the typical high school hierarchy that makes everyone wants to be on top cause they get EVERYTHING.
But a little difference goes a long way.
I will definitely read another book from this author.

I did anticipate most of the things that happened.
Except for the ending.
And I would never forget this book because of it.
But I can't help thinking that I love this book because of its powerful message.
Or should I say messages.

The characters are just very interesting and authentic.
That's why I have no trouble anticipating what'll happen next.
It doesn't seem like it's fictional.
Not to mention that Madison (the narrator) is funny too.

Recommended to ALL teenagers.
This is a book that we can totally relate.
And learn something from. :)

I picked up this book not because I read the synopsis and I feel the need to have it.
But because of the reviews it got.
It reminds me a little of The Lovely Bones (I just watched the movie) and so, I decided to read it.

Mia, the narrator, was just a normal, seventeen year old and to think that death is waiting for her makes me ponder the values of life.
That was what she thought during her coma.
What she went through and all.

However, it doesn't bored me and it kept me going.
Though there's no interesting story line and a lot of flash backs.
But perhaps it was the way everything was written that captured my attention and got me sucked in.
It was a quick read for me.

However, when I was reading this, it got me overwhelmed with sadness but not enough to make me cry.
The sadness stopped abruptly as the chapters change.
It was as if the writer wanted us to spare the tears for later.
But I didn't cry at all.
Just got me on the verge of crying.

In short, it was an incredible book with a strong message.
Recommend it to all readers of all ages.

Two simple yet accurate words to describe this book
Why?
Because it was different.
Yes, it is another story about a teenage girl who did stupid things and wanted to change everything she did if she could.
But I completely didn't anticipate that the story would go in that direction.

This book was also funny.
The main character sounded fun, bubbly and crazy at the same time.
You could almost feel the energy oozing out of the pages.
A dose of humour like this made my read enjoyable.

The lesson Sarah Mlynowski conveyed was also very useful and made me realize lots of things.
This book can make us see the values of life and how we should spend every moment of our youth instead of wasting them.
It successfully hit some sense into me and that's a big accomplishment.
Who knew a very simple book could do that to me?

I definitely recommend this light read to everybody.

Okay, where do I begin?

Oh, did I like this book?

I like all Fallen books.

They convey a great romance story between Luce and Daniel.

The question is: Did I ENJOYED it?

Hmm..

For one thing, it didn't take me long to read this book.

I kept reading it probably because I want to know what's next, what's next.

Next, I don't like how it was not written consistently.

Sometimes, it was well-written.

I could imagine the settings clearly.

I could feel what the characters were feeling.

The are also times where it was just typed out as if the author doesn't want to focus on that part very much.

The romance is still as good as Fallen and Torment.

I like it.

Perhaps that's another reason I kept flipping the pages.

Though there were not many flaws, this was a disappointment since I really liked Torment.

I gave a good review on that because it WAS that good.

But I'll still read rapture when it release next year.

You also can't express your love to somebody eventhough you are not cured because it shows that you are infected by amor deliria nervosa.
And once you're cured, you wouldn't remember the feelings you had towards your friends, siblings etc.
Two words.
It sucks.

How did I know this?
Lena Haloway narrated this story.
And each time I'm reading Delirium, I feel like I am Lena Haloway.
I can feel everything that she felt and everything that she thought of.

The suspense killed me and and it was written good enough to make my heart beats faster.
The twist was expected but the way Lauren Oliver wrote it made me emotional.
I cried, I was afraid, I was curious and could not stop reading.
In fact, I couldn't stop reading at all.
I only stop if I had to.
And each time I was not reading it, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I have to admit that in the first two chapters, I thought the idea wouldn't work out and it was dangerous for Lauren Oliver to change the ordinary of life.
Plus, my expectations were very high since Before I Fall was my favourite last year.
Guess what?
It didn't only work out but also exceeded my expectations.
I loved and still in love with this book!

I definitely recommend this book to all book fans out there.
This book is worth talking about for a very long time :)

So, I went to Jusco Seremban 2 to meet her.
She remembered me so we chatted.
Then I bought her books and she signed them.

It was epic!
Seriously!
After almost 10 years watching and waiting for this, and when the moment came, I felt satisfactory.
And relieved that it is all over.

I didn't remember how the story went in the book when I was watching the movie cause I read it in 2007.
That was 4 years ago.
So, when we (my family and I) got back home, my mom started flipping the pages.
Lots of alteration was done but it was still incredible.
But, there were some parts that I didn't quite understand.
About Severus Snape and Lily.
I think I have to hit the book after all!

To those who are planning to watch it, do it as soon as possible.
And to those who have not plan to, WELL YOU SHOULD!!

That was definitely a spellbinding journey!
Full of mysteries, kept me waiting and hoping and hanging throughout the book..
I didn't think a mystery in a ship, a SPACESHIP would be possible!
With the limited space and all, you know?
But, Beth Revis pulled it.

The idea was different, that was the main reason why I picked this book up in the first place.
And the story was not only narrated by one person, but by two different people.
A different narrator in every chapter.
It really helped to understand the story a lot better since I saw it through two different sets of eyes.

It felt real!
The writer managed to write the story smoothly.
And it successfully played with my emotions..
I really felt as if I was there.

However, all the mysteries are solved in this book.
So, I don't have to wait for the sequel, A Million Suns, in suspense.
Maybe, that is the downside of this book.
If I have to wait, I will never forget..

But this book is definitely recommended!

Amal is definitely my favourite character.
She is the heroine I've been looking for.
Bold, cool and fun!
Sometimes, she just reminds me of... me! (LOL!)

I finished this book in a few days.
It is hard to put down.
It was as if it was a real story.
Plus. I really connected with Amal cause I could feel everything she felt.
The author described those very well.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone especially my fellow school mates.
I'll make a book review at the assembly one day and I'll tell them about this book.
Yes, I like it that much! :)

Genuinely creative.
The idea of a girl with an abnormal gift to find dead bodies and anybody that had killed before really captured my attention and encouraged me to pick it up.
The idea seems interesting and different from the books I've read before.

Despite the ingenious idea, I salute Kimberly Derting for her amazing way of writing and describing.
She laid her ideas well.
I understand what she's describing and I know it's not easy since her idea is different.
And I swear I was swooned by the romance.

However, the suspense didn't 'kill' me.
I would rate this element 3 out of 5.
Some things were expected and it killed the thrill.
If this element was stronger, this story would have been perfect.

No doubt that once I started reading, it was hard for me to stop.
There was no 'boring parts' that I usually hated in books.
Can't wait for Desires of the Dead.

Lola and the Boy Next Door
by Stephanie Perkins

Another book by Stephanie Perkins with a great cover.
Remember Anna and the French Kiss?

I have to admit that it actually reminds me of The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade at first.

And Anna and the French Kiss looks better.
However, both of the novels have great colour combinations and you would definitely pick it up from the book shelf to read the synopsis, right.
It's just eye-catching.

But it still looks stunning.

2010 have been a great and a busy year for me.
Other than acing my major test and having fun with my friends, I also read lots of unforgettable books.
Here are my 2010 favourites (no particular order)

Hope 2011 will be a better year :)

The DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend)

She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.

But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.

Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

Two words.

Not bad.

This book managed to play with my emotions a little, kept me turning the pages sometimes.

It was a good book.

But, it was just that. A good book. Not bad.

At first this book failed to grab my attention.

But after reading 1/4 of the book, it started to gain my interest.

No doubt, after that I could not put it down.

This is the type of books that teach us things that could only be learned by experience.

And I liked it.

The characters were interesting and somehow different.

There were no popular kids vs nerds and blah, blah, blah.

I'm kind of tired of those things sometimes.

But then, there's the DUFF.

Come to think of it, this duff thing is a big deal.

Who would want to notice the duff when she is surrounded by someone who is much prettier.

But then I learned that we should always remember friendship comes first.

The story was well-plotted.

However, there were a few of clichés going on.

Sometimes, I could even guess what's going to happen.

The ending was great but expected.

It was a fun read.

I reccomend this book only to those who like chick lit.

Still, if you are thinking of reading this book, you should read other reviews first.

Classy, neat and eye capturing.
Simple but enough to get me crazy over it.
But I have to admit that The Hidden have the best cover among these three.

Different and real.
I even forgot that I was reading sometimes.
I thought that I was somehow watching TV or experiencing it instead.
I got sucked in and I can feel this book.
I just loved it!

The idea of a Society that decide everything for you and take care of everything so that they seems perfect really intrigued me on reading more and more to really know what this Society is all about.
They are very responsible of their citizens and they control everything.
Everyone obeys and lead a healthy life.
Everything seems perfect but what is exciting about a 'perfect' life, right?

Cassia is a very interesting character.
She is just like everyone at first, heeding to everything.
But when things start to came to her senses, she brings the story alive.
Incredible!

Penny is suddenly known for her nondating ways . . . which is too bad, because there's this certain boy she can't help but like. . . .

Experience is the best teacher they say.
With experience, we are able to grow mature.
That's what this book is all about.
Despite the valuable lesson, this book is unique in its own way.

Awesome story line, awesome idea, awesome characters.
What more can I ask for?
The idea of a The Lonely Hearts Club was just fascinating.
It makes girls feel special and help us achieve our dreams and always stand behind our friend's back.
Because girls do change for a guy to only get toss in the trash afterwards.
It is not yet our time and this book thought me that.

At first, I thought that this book was just another cliché.
Jocks date cheerleaders, best friend left the main character for popularity..
But Elizabeth took it to a whole new level.
Plus, there are facts about The Beatles too, since the main character, and her parents are a huge fan of that band.

Overall, it is a great book to read.
Fun, attractive and wonderful.
Must have for teenage girls.

Guess what?

I seriously didn't regret it.

This book is a page turner.

It actually sucked me in.

Funny and addictive.

I seriously loved it!

Brilliant idea from a brilliant author.

I believe not all author can write a book with the same idea but in a way that doesn't sound childish or a joke.

Kiersten White managed to make me believe that there are such thing as paranormal and an agency which controls them, IPCA (International Paranormal Containment Agency).

Everything is well organised and beautifully crafted.

The main character, Evie, had a great voice.

She really sounded like your ordinary teenage American girl.

The sequel, Supernaturally, will be release next year.

I wonder what else Kiersten has in store for us...

Epic, authentic and magically dark.

This book is so epic that it takes my breath away.

Each time I started reading, I am lost in it.

It felt like I never wanted to stop.

It kept me going from the beginning to the end.

Authentic, because every single thing that happened fell right into place.

Authentic, because everything, from the conversations to how each characters reacted to a situation, seemed so real.

So authentic that I even dreamed about it at night.

It's like I was a part of that world but I couldn't do anything about it other than to watch.

The characters we know in Beautiful Creatures are back in Beautiful Darkness as well but with a little addition to the group.

There were also characters which were just mentioned in Beautiful Creatures actually appeared in this sequel.

This second book of the Caster Chronicles is certainly better than the first one.

More adventure, more heartbreaking scenes and much more magical.

I think there is a lot more to the Caster world than we know and I bet, in each sequel that follows, we will gain more and more and more...

An incredible story as a stand alone sequel of Wicked Lovely.

Dark, passionate and creative.

The idea is unique which is very interesting to read.

Wicked Lovely was about a girl (Aislinn) who knew that faeries existed.

But Ink Exchange introduced one of Aislinn's best friend, Leslie, who didn't know anything other than the pain that she faced everyday with her troubled family.

In Wicked Lovely, it was about the Summer Court.

But in Ink Exchange, it was about the Dark Court.

The main characters in Wicked Lovely became the minor characters in Ink Exchange and vice versa.

Personally, I think Ink Exchange is better than Wicked Lovely.

There are more romance and less complication.

The story was well told in three different perspectives.

Just like Wicked Lovely, this book is heavy.

However, it was a great read!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry is waiting in Privet Drive. The Order of the Phoenix is coming to escort him safely away without Voldemort and his supporters knowing - if they can. But what will Harry do then? How can he fulfil the momentous and seemingly impossible task that Professor Dumbledore has left him?

I still remember the time I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
I was eight I think?
And I still have the popcorn bucket that I got when I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
I never missed watching all the Harry Potter movies on the big screen.
My parents would also buy the VCD and DVD.
Harry Potter was a part of my childhood and will be a part of my teenage years as well.
Maybe that is why I am excited for this one.

I can't remember the details in the book, but I think I still remember the story line.
I am so watching this with my family this month.

SOMEONE ELSE WILL DIE

AND I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE.

A few days after the first time you walk in your sleep, you kill someone.

That's how the end begins.

Emma Montgomery has been having gruesome nightmares. Even worse, when she wakes up, she isn't where she was when she fell asleep. And she's not the only one. One by one the students of Saint Opportuna High start having nightmares, and sleepwalking. And the next morning one of their classmates turns up dead.

Something is making them kill in their sleep. Emma and her friends need to band together, to keep themselves awake until they can figure out what's behind the murders--before anyone else dies..

Very interesting story line.
Smooth and with a little twist at the end.
But definitely NOT an interesting book.
This story deserves to be on screens, not on pages.

The reason why I say so is because, a few things are better shown than imagine.
That's what this book portrayed.
Scenes which are lame when we imagine but incredible when it is shown.
Maybe most thrillers are made that way.

Still, I can't deny that I felt delighted while reading this book.
The characters were interesting and the settings were different.
The story was well written too.
It was a light yet enjoyable read for me.

Wolfsbane (release date 12th July 2011)

This is the second Nightshade novel.

What I like about these book covers is the girl's eyes.
Not just the contacts but also the eyebrows.
You seriously can't tell whether they use the same model or not.
The font really suits the book cover.
It's actually the normal boring old font but it looks cool because of the little detail on 'F' for Wolfsbane and 'T' for Nightshade.
Don't you agree?

Though she’s careful to hide her secret—even from her new philosophy-obsessed boyfriend—with each impending death comes the temptation to test fate. But so many questions remain. How does the mark work? Why is she the only one who sees it? And finally, the most important of all: If you know today is someone’s last, should you tell them?

This is an overrated book.
It was not as WOW as I thought it would be.
It was just okay.
A good read to get me through the day.

The first part of the book really captured me.
But the gravity that held me to the book became weaker and weaker as I got to the end of the story.
However, it was kind of fascinating for me to read a book with an adult-like story line but in a voice of a teenager.
Jen Nadol made it possible.
This book was somehow exciting too because my loyalty constantly changed from one character to another.
The rapid and constant change of setting also captured my interest.

This book is certainly a brief introduction on The Mark series.
Most of the parts in this story were elaborated extensively but some were just mere explanations on the main character's actions and opinions.
To me, this book showed that Jen Nadol is an excellent writer but not an incredible author.
Hope that she'll step it up for The Vision like how Lauren Kate was for Torment.

Emotionally beautiful!
I really like this book and the story is unforgettable.
Contains passion, love, conflict and grief.
It is a painful reality that someone, somewhere in this world has to swallow.

The best thing about this book is Jandy Nelson knows how to describe grief really well.
You can feel it while you are reading it.
It is as if she is grieving herself and she is trying to tell the whole world how she feels.
That is why this book seems real in addition to the authentic characters and conversations.

In spite of that, the beginning of this book did not capture me.
I felt bored when I started this book although the colourful illustrations of Lennie's notes were very attractive.
But when the conflicts began and the plot seemed to thicken, the attraction came slowly.
Towards the end, I just couldn't put the book down.

I recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a good book to read.

I Lost My Mobile At The Mall

I lost my mobile at the mall and am now facing certain death.

My mother will accuse me of being lazy, ungrateful and plain old stupid. The first death I suffer will be from an utter lack of natural justice. My father will sentence me to die by disappointment. His shoulders will sag and there will be a long escape of air from his chest, as if I've crept up behind him and pulled out his plug.

As if I deliberately lost my mobile phone to prove to him that there is no God. My best friend will kill me, all because there's a photo in my mobile of her standing next to Hugh Jackman. I am not an overly dramatic person, but a year's worth of numbers, texts and photos were in my phone, and if I don't get them back my life is not worth living.

I haven't read like this in ages!
I keep reading and reading and reading until the last line.
I manage to complete this book in a day.
Simply addictive!

Even before reading this, I noticed that people do depend on technology too much that we forgot how it was like in the old days.
Writing letters, hogging on the public phone.
Now everything is much simpler.
But what if, all in a sudden, you don't have your phone and your personal computer?
Can you imagine how your life would be?
It is NOT easy, not only for working grown ups but also for teenagers who has social lives.
'I Lost My Mobile at the Mall' showed me how it was for Elly Pickering (the main character).

Being a teenager myself, I can relate to this story and the main character.
We always feel like our family, our life and our world is soooo unfair.
We find flaws in others but don't seem to care about our own.
This book is very authentic.
The story line was also very smooth and beautifully written.

I think teenagers around the world should read this book.
Despite being incredible, it also has a very valuable message.

Getting all excited for this book was definitely worth it!

Is it better than Fallen? Definitely!

This time, the ideas were well layed.

The story line were beautifully written and everything was described in detail.

I had no problem imagining each and every set of this story.

However, if, only if, you thought that you could definitely see some similarities between Fallen and Twilight, I think you can see the resemblance between Torment and New Moon too.

But if you missed that, don't go and look for that in Torment.

This book is incredible and you should enjoy every minute when you are reading it.

Another flaw is that it failed to grab my attention continuously through out the book.

Most of the time, I got sucked in and I felt like I never wanted to stop.

But sometimes, I got kind of bored and stopped reading.

Torment will also play with your emotions.

It will keep doing that until at the end of the book.

How exactly will it do that?

Well, that is for me to know and for you to find out.

But I'll tell you something.

I found myself in a very stressful position when I finished reading.

I bet everyone will want to pre-order Passion next year.

Looks like Lauren Kate's Fallen novel keeps getting better and better.

Fresh, well developed and beautifully plotted.
That is what I think.
Entering this new world of faerie is very exciting for me.
I just read one of the five books and I am craving for more.

The main character kept facing difficulties.
I mean, if a faerie ask you to give up your life for something uncertain of course you would feel like there's a HUGE burden on your shoulders.
Plus, you have been living with these rules that suggested faeries are bad.
That's what Aislinn faced.
The faeries need her. The fate of the world depends on her.

This book was definitely not a quick read for me.
It is a dark and heavy book.
However, the beginning of the story was definitely not a page turner.
The pace was quick but it didn't suck me in.
But it got better and better as the the story grows.

The author has her own way of writing.
Which is very interesting to read.
Her brilliant way of writing plus her splendid idea created a remarkable book.

I give this book 4.5 out of 5.
I recommend this book to those who doesn't mind paranormals and enjoys romance.

On this blog post, I want to talk about a book which I'd discovered 2 months ago. Now that I've read lots of reviews about it, I want to discuss it with all of you!

Paranormalcy

The cover:
Eye catching.
When I discovered this book, I was just scrolling through a book blog (I forgot which one) and suddenly, this book cover caught my attention.
To me it suits the title and it looks...
Just wow!
No other words to describe it.
And I can almost hear what the girl in the cover hears.
Strong wind, storm and the sound of her dress undulating.
Fascinating.

The synopsis:

Weird as it is working for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, Evie's always thought of herself as normal. Sure, her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours, but still. Normal.

Only now paranormals are dying, and Evie's dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She soon realizes that there may be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, but she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

My opinion:
I am actually looking for something new.
Less paranormal-ish perhaps.
And when I've read the synopsis, I don't really want to read this book.
But, after reading the reviews, I found out that this book is actually funny.
You know, with humour.
Gosh!

I love laughing, I really do.
Now, I really want to read this book because I've heard the humour is actually hilarious.
I also heard that this book is somehow refreshing and addictive.
That just makes me want it more.

This book was AWESOME!
I actually felt pity towards Bree.
I really felt connected to the character (and it is not because she is the same age as me)

The plot was well organised.
I didn't feel bored.
I kept turning the pages.
It really sucked me in.
And when I am sleepy, I'm torn between going to bed or continue reading.

Bree was smarter than the other newborns.
She was, also, not as vicious as the others.
She was very obedient and would follow any kinds of rules there are.
And to die like that? It was sooo unfair!

It was also exciting to see Bella and the Cullens from Bree's perspective.
And the way she thinks.
She was a great observer.
People don't have to tell her what's going on because she knows how to put two and two together.

It was a quick read.
It was great.
It was sooo worth my time.

A movie review.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
by Stephenie Meyer

Bella must choose between her friendship with Jacob, a werewolf, and her relationship with Edward, a vampire, but when Seattle is ravaged by a mysterious string of killings, the three of them need to decide whether their personal lives are more important than the well-being of an entire city.

My review:
Eclipse was better than New Moon but it cannot compete with Twilight.
Most people might say that Eclipse is the best for there are many actions.
But not for me.
In fact, Eclipse was The Twilight Saga that I like the least.

But there is no denying that I enjoyed every moment of it.
I like how the movie touches every single aspect that is in the book (though they didn't mention deeply how every single thing happened)
And this time, we can see what a VAMPIRE really is.
The Cullens are not an actual vampire because they can control themselves but not the newborns.
The way they feed on people and how they react when the see blood. (Yeah, Jasper might have showed that in New Moon but it was not 'frenzy' enough)

And not to forget the element of humor.
I laughed a couple of times especially at Charlie's dialog.
And when Jacob meets Edward.

Overall, it was so worth my money! :)

Human beings are never satisfied.
Because, once we get what we want, we will ask for more, more an more.
And we don't care if other person suffers in that process.
And sometimes, we suffer too.
Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins.
(I feel like I'm repeating the synopsis)

Obviously, that is the moral value that I got from this book.
It is hard to see the characters getting involve in all this especially because they are teenagers.
However, they were a very interesting character.
Even though the five of them lived under the same roof, they despite each other.
Plus, the 'gifts' they had were cool.
They got addicted and used them all the time.

This book is not that epic but it sucked me in anyway..
I know, it took me more than a week to read it thanks to my exams :(
Anyway, the elaboration was FANTASTIC.
The words used are very useful to me since I am a student.
However, I am not that satisfied with the ending.
It was great but just not WOW!

I know this book got more negative reviews than good ones.
It depends on how you dear readers see it.
So I'm giving it a 4 over 5.

One word.
FUN!
Even my little brother likes it. (He is 1 year and 9 month)

Every single thing on the cover suits the title.
The font, the picture, by layout.
Very harmonious.

Synopsis:

Semuanya pernah Syuhada lakukan demi mahu berdiet selepas membaca blog Ain Maisarah, penulis buku remaja terkenal. Ain Maisarah sedang menjalankan misi dietnya. Maka terjadilah perkara-perkara lucu sepanjang misi diet Syuhada bersama Ain Maisarah.

My review:
Very suitable as light reading.
The pictures, the graphics.
They are fun to watch and make this book more interesting to read.
And the story about a 17 year old who tried to loss weight together with the famous author was hilarious!

This book is flooded with knowledge.
Everything about healthy living is in here.
So, it's like killing two birds using one stone.

I would give this book 3.5 over 5 though.
Eventhough the story was hilarious, I find that some parts were rather boring.
But it is still worth reading.

Love You Hate You Miss You

Amy's shrink thinks she should keep a journal but instead, Amy starts writing letters to Julia. As she writes letter after letter, she begins to realize that the past holds its own secrets--and that the present deserves a chance.

This book is very touching.
It's nothing like any books that I have read before.

It is about a 'mentally' abandoned girl, Amy who lost her friend, Julia, forever.
She has problems with her self confidence before Julia came.
Because she thinks she is FREAKISHLY tall and has weird hair.
But Julia helped her and took care of her.
So, you can imagine what happened to her when Julia died.

At first, I seriously didn't know what happened.
I was sooo clueless.
Amy keeps feeling sad, lonely, angry and blaming herself all the time.
But why?
Elizabeth Scott unravels the story bit by bit.
That's why I keep on turning the pages instead of putting a bookmark at page 27.

It was hard for me to 'get in touch' with Amy.
Her desires are uncertain.
But I understand her conditions.
And I felt sorry for her.

I almost cried at the end.

The author elaborated this book in a WONDERFUL manner.
I love her way of writing.
And I love this book sooo much.
It's amazing!

The colour, the picture and the font looks great together.
Though I like the font of the UK (down) version better, but the colour is just too plain.
Still, it looks neat!

My opinion:
From the reviews that I have read, I conclude this book as mature and difficult.
Falling in love or having a relationship with your sister's, or dead sister to be exact, boyfriend is not like any other relationship.
You'll be imagining the things that he did with your sister and thinking is you are as good as your sister to him.
But, it also depends on your relationship with your sis, right?
If you love your sis soooo much, you will kinna feel like it is some kind of a betrayal but is you are not that well with your sis, you won't give a damn about it.

However, I feel like this idea is not distinct but not cliche at the same time.
It depends on how the author puts this story together.
And from the reviews that I surveyed, perhaps the author done a splendid job on that.

The nearest word to describe this book.
The message, the plot, the characters.
They were all very POWERFUL.

The way Samantha re-lives the day of her death is different everyday.
Perhaps we will do the same thing as she did if we were in her shoes.
Many people would think 'nothing is distinct about re-living the day we die' but this book is.
Especially when she is young.

This book is a wonderful combination of:-

Love
Friendship
Family
High school lives

It also contains wonderful and precise details which means I have no trouble imagining every events that happened.
The love message made me cry. (I always have soft spots for the word 'love' cause I believe in it too much)
And, perhaps most of us are just like Samantha.
We don't know what we want and who we are.

I anticipated something else for the ending, seriously.
Though some of my guesses were right, like her relationship.

So, I learned a very valuable lesson from this captivating book.
Live life, love life.
And live like there is no tomorrow.
We just don't know good things until they are gone.

Pada saat-saat bahagia,Syarikat Impiana Sdn. Bhd. menjelma kembali memburu bekas pelajar Sekolah Sri Bangsar yang masih belum bebas daripada cengkaman mereka.

My review:

Impiana was a fabulous trilogy!
From Impiana I to Impiana III the stories are full of surprises.
Full of suspense!
Which I love so much!

Ain Maisarah is a great Malaysian writer for she not only can write chick lit and young adult books.
She also is capable on writing serious stories just like this wonderful trilogy.

This last book uncovers bit by bit the story of the ex-students of Sri Bangsar and how they got into this mess.
Dealing with a company called Impiana who will make your dream becomes a reality in 3 months no matter what.
And when they say no matter what, they really meant 'by hook or by crook, we will make sure your dream will become a reality'!

There were so many stories to tell, since it involves more than 2-3 individuals, and Ain Maisarah told them in a wonderful manner.

I am very, very satisfied by this last book that ends the whole shenanigans of Impiana which had hurt too many people!
I will buy the real book.
Love this one!

I am not as free as usual nowadays.
There are tests to catch up to.
English Debate Competition to think about.

Coursework to worry about.

Gosh!

This book is: amazing, unique, wonderful, complete.

The pace was slow at first but is was naturally slow.
It tells us a lot about the setting and about Ethan's life.
It sounds so real!
And it is very important too.
It is the HUGE part of the story.
So, for this book, no matter how slow it was, I enjoyed every bits of the words written.

There were a few elements in this book:
History
Romance
Magic
Mystery
And everything mixed up and blend in just fine.
Everything is connected and there are reasons for everything that happened.

I also love the ideas that these two wonderful writters came up with until they can create such wonderful characters.
Brilliant!

And the ending?
Whoa!
The ending was amazing!
I anticipated what will happen and got it right, but only when I almost got there.
I seriously anticipated something else at first before I change my guess towards the end.

Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl made a wonderful debut that is unforgettable and make me craving for more.
Lots of people have high expectation for Beautiful Darkness.

The cover of Becca Fitzpatrick's sequel to Hush Hush, Crescendo is finally revealed.
I guess most of you found out before I did. :)

I think it's neat.
It had the same colour that gives you the must to have this book.
Just like Hush Hush.

Twihards are screaming (I think) over this one.
And I just found out on Wednesday.
Looks like the screaming just deafened me instead of giving me input about this book. :D

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (release date: 5th of June 2010)

Just like the other Twilight Saga cover right?
Black, red, white.
Simple but smart.
Very neat as always!

And I love the sandglass.
It resembles time which suits the title.

The synopsis:

My opinion:
I seriously forget who Bree Tanner is since I have problems with remembering someones name. (The main reason why History and I don't get along)
So, I have to flip the pages of Eclipse.

Bree is the girl who surrendered after the 'war' between the newborns and The Cullens with the werewolves.
Bree is one of the newborns.
If you remember, she was killed by one of the Volturi's Guard, Felix.
Her story in Eclipse was just about 9 to 10 pages.
I heard that this book will be 192 pages.
I am excited for this one.
